Class Descriptions

Class Sign-up Policy
All classes must be registered and paid in advance. To register for any classes please call Susan Francis at 407-227-6680 or sign up on-line. If you leave sign-up until the last minute you take the chance of possibly having that class canceled if there are not enough students registered. If you register and do not show up for a class you will forfeit the class fee, if you cannot make a class and call and cancel the morning of the class you will have a school credit towards any other class.

If you are not completely satisfied with your class, we will be pleased to refund the fee or give you credit towards another class. For questions regarding classes please call Susan Francis at 407-227-6680 or send us an e-mail at photoclasses@harmonphoto.com

Harmon's School of Photography offers classes on most aspects of digital photography.

Whether you have just got your first digital camera, or you want to get more serious about your photography, our classes will provide the jumpstart you need.


Practical Photo

This four week, hands-on class will give you an opportunity to apply the knowledge you gained in Photo 2 class to some real-world photographic situations.

In Week 1, instructor Susan Francis will teach you about still life photography. In this class, you will learn simple lighting and compositional techniques to get great images. Also on week 1 you will be given a photo assignment that will be presented and critiqued on week 4.

For Week 2, instructor John Francis will introduce you to Portraiture. You will have an opportunity to pose and photograph a model using flash or natural and reflected light to get the best possible shots in an urban environment.

In Week 3, instructor Herbie Martin will teach you the concept of Food Photography. In this fun learning experience you will learn techniques & some of the secrets behind food photography..

Finally, on week 4 we will review the assignment and provide positive critiques of all your images to help you grow with your photography.

Prerequisites: Photo 2 or equivalent in skills
