Harmon's School of Photography offers classes on most aspects of digital photography.
Whether you have just got your first digital camera, or you want to get more serious about your photography, our classes will provide the jumpstart you need.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) Photography
This class will teach you how to merge multiple images taken at varying exposures to give you a stunning final image that displays a much broader spectrum of light and detail. The entire process from capture to final processing will be demonstrated. Subjects covered will include: choosing suitable subjects for HDR; bracketing exposures in the camera; generation of the HDR image; tone mapping and post-processing of the tone-mapped HDR image. HDR conversion will be taught using Photomatix Pro and Nik HDR Pro software, with post-processing in Lightroom and/or Photoshop.
Prerequisites: We recommend that students have taken our "Introduction to DSLRs" class, or have a similar level of knowledge and understanding of their camera controls, exposure and white balance.
